October 2022 Updates

It has come to our attention that a few people did not get the informational emails we sent out. The information below is a copy of what we sent out and if you need the link to the transfer tool, please open a ticket and let us know. We are so sorry for the confusion if you were one of the ones that didn’t get our previous messages!

Hello ILJ Mail Family!

We are excited to announce that thanks to your years of support, suggestions and continued desire for privacy, on 10-07-2022 at approximately 8:00 a.m. EST, we will be upgrading not only ILJ Mail hardware, but rolling out new options for you and updating the back end software to allow for growth that will take us in to the ever changing future of email and privacy.

As with any upgrade, we ask for your prayers and patience. We have been working on this for months and have been testing on multiple domains already with no issues at all so we don’t anticipate any tomorrow.

If for any reason, anyone runs into an issue or doesn’t understand something, we are here to help!.

Thank you once again for your prayers and support.  We look forward to many more years of serving you!  Please read the important information below for what to expect and know that we are here to help with any questions you may have.

New Webmail:  https://email.iljmail.com

It may look different than your current set up because you may need to tweak your settings again such as preferred skin, time zone, font, and some have dark mode already enabled but if you like light mode, it’s easy to change.

Please read: If you use IMAP, you will need to delete the email account out of whatever app or program you use to check your email and set it back up again with these settings.  Just changing your settings MIGHT work but most of the time it has needed set up from fresh. (do NOT do this if you use POP)

Incoming Server:  email.iljmail.com

Same Incoming Port: IMAP 993
(If you use POP: 995)

Outgoing/SMTP:  smtp.iljmail.com
Outgoing port: 587

The following article has this and some additional information you might need to get updated after this change: Making Changes for the October Update

VERY IMPORTANT:  Your existing email messages, contacts, and calendars will NOT automatically transfer to the new system.

Don’t Worry, though! We can help! Your old messages, contacts, and calendars (if any) will still be available until December 31, 2022 at the old webmail interface and we are happy to help you get them transferred over if you need them and are uncomfortable with the instructions below or have limited use of a computer.  Open a ticket and let us know you need us to help.

Here’s some help!

  • KEEPING OLD MESSAGES:  If you have messages you would like to keep and transfer to our new system, there is an online message transfer tool that you can use.  Please check your email for the specific link. If you have deleted your email, please open a ticket and we can give you the information.
Here’s some instructions on how to use it:  https://iljmail.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/10049886021651
  • CONTACTS AND CALENDARS: If you have existing contacts and calendars in webmail, it’s as easy as exporting from the old and importing to the new.  Instructions are on this page:  https://iljmail.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/10049625323667-Making-Changes-for-the-October-2022-Software-Update
  • APPROVED SENDERS LIST: If you had sent us any email addresses to add to an approved or deny list for you, please let us know so we can set that up in the new system as well.

You will still have access to both webmail instances for a while for you to be able to check to make sure everything is where it should be until December 31, 2022.

If you have any questions, please open a ticket with us and we will be happy to help!  You can open a ticket here: https://iljmail.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
