How to Check Email in Windows 10 Mail
I bet you have seen this icon in your Windows 10 system! This is the icon for Windows Mail.
If you would like to use this program to check your email account you have at ILJ Mail, then click that mail icon and follow these steps:
First pull up Windows 10 Mail App. If you have already set up a Windows email account you will see your current email. Over to the left side of the screen you will see the Accounts button. Click that.
Then, look over to the right hand side of your screen and you will see the Add Account area. Click that:
The following screen will pop up asking what kind of account you are adding. Choose “Other account, POP, IMAP”
This screen will then pop up and asks for your email address, name and email address password, so you will fill them in and click Sign in.
The system should automatically figure out your settings with the autodiscover feature we have set up and you will be done! If it doesn’t at first, click Try Again. If it works, you will see your account over on the left side of the screen.
If necessary, the following instructions are for if you have to go back and click Advanced Setup:
Choose Internet Email:
As the following image, enter your information as follows:
Email Address: Your email address
User Name: email@example.com (or ilovejesus.com)
Email account password: your email account password (not your billing account password… there’s a difference)
Account Name: Whatever you want to call it
Send your messages using this name: Again, your preference
Account Type: IMAP
Incoming Mail Server: secure.iljmail.com
Leave everything at the bottom checked.
Once you click Sign In, it should check your credentials and you will be done!
